Here lies poor old Jack

My Jack Skellington pumpkin has been sitting out on our front steps for over 2 1/2 weeks now. While he started out looking happy, youthful, and, well, actually like Jack Skellington, he has now morphed into what looks like a happy old man who forgot to put his teeth in when he woke up this morning.

I guess Halloween is definitely over. Of course, that means Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I must say, I adore Thanksgiving. It not only serves as a nice little break from school and a chance to go home for a few days, but it also is just an altogether happy time (complete with LOTS of yummy, not to mention home cooked, food). Additionally, I get to experience fall in the south for a few days AND go to the cabin in Pickett State Park where I experienced some of my greatest childhood memories. I'll expand on this more after Thanksgiving when I have pictures and am full of Pickett spirit after just visiting it! But here's just a little taste to get excited about:

A few side notes I forgot to mention earlier.

1.) I have been officially accepted into HELP's Uganda program this summer! Africa or bust 2010!

2.) I had my interview with Mikarose. I would love to work for them. I get to assist a fashion company which could include fashion shows, road shows, photo shoots, marketing, media contact, and maybe even TRAVEL. The woman I interviewed with mentioned that this travel may involve a trip to China! What?!!? However, this internship is unpaid. I'm just not going to think about it too hard until I find out whether I got any of the jobs or not.

3.) I got invited to go to see Third Eye Blind in Vegas with some people in my ward next weekend. I admit that I don't really listen to Third Eye Blind outside of what gets played on the radio, but I figured what the hey. It should be fun. Getting away from Provo (ie my apartment, school, and some monotony) for the weekend is usually a good thing.

4.) I plan to watch On the Waterfront starring Marlon Brando on Saturday.
